About HONK! Jr. (approximately 60-80 minutes)

HONK! Jr. is a modern retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s story of The Ugly Ducking.  HONK! Jr. has been adapted for the stage by Anthony Drewe and George Stiles.  In 2000 HONK! won the Olivier Award (the British equivalent of a TONY Award) for Best New Musical.

HONK! Jr. tells the story of Ugly, an odd looking baby duck who is searching for his mother.  Soon after Ugly is born he is seduced away by a Cat who wants to eat him for lunch.  Ugly is able to escape but does not know his way home.  He meets many animals along his way to return home and discovers who he really is, a swan.
