What a fun way to end the week at Wandell! 📚🐾 Students loved reading with their very own therapy dog in each homeroom today. Smiles, great books, and some wonderful furry listeners made it the perfect way to wrap up week one of our Read Across America celebrations.

Read Across America is off to a magical start at Wandell! ✨ We’re off to see the Wizard as our One School, One Book journey begins with The Wizard of Oz! Today’s action-packed assembly had students buzzing with excitement. Huge thank you to our incredible PAWS Committee for the amazing Book Fair and to our Education Foundation for bringing this special initiative to life. So many wonderful things happening this month! 💚📚🌈

Wandell 5th graders proudly celebrated Black History Month by sharing powerful, in-depth essays on influential African American scientists, musicians, doctors, and leaders. Their research, writing, and presentations were thoughtful and inspiring.

Huge congratulations to Mrs. Kleinbard and her incredibly talented Gifted & Talented students on being recognized at February’s Board of Education meeting for their FIRST PLACE wins! 🏆👏
